ABOUT THE BASKETBALL PROGRAM
The Blue Chip method includes advanced training in individual skills: ball handling, footwork, shooting, passing, defense and physical conditioning during open clinics. We focus on what skill to use in a given situation or play, why to use it, and when and how to execute it properly. Clinic is the constant in our equation to becoming a complete player.
Training is vital to the success of any individual trying to not just be proficient, but great at something. We train our kids to be great when they play in games, to be confident in themselves, and inspire teammates as well as others to believe and trust in them. The end goal is to create leaders, both on and off the court.
Once ready for more advanced play, a player is placed on a team that competes on a weekly basis against higher level competition in the ARC League. We use these games as active practices that further skill development. It is during these games, the coaches strongly urge the players to utilize skills learned at clinic, not just focus on winning.
For those exceling in their development, we offer elite travel teams. Teams play against other elite level competition, both regionally and nationally. The teams compete on the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) circuit.
Blue Chip wants to help fulfill the goals and dreams of each one of our players. We care immensely and deeply about the evolution of our players’ psyche, body development, and skill development. The end goal is to unlock the potential, by being honest, motivating and caring.
